Butchery evening

A fundraising butchery evening was hosted
by Simon Taylor of Surrey Hills Butchers in Oxshott this week. The attendees watched a demonstration on lamb and pork breakdown, followed a demonstration on how to tie a butcher’s knot and how to bone, stuff and roll a chicken for roasting. A very productive and enjoyable fundraiser.

Nicki Galazka’s fabulous coffee morning and sale

Nicki Galazka’s coffee morning and sale last week was, once again, a great success. A selection of gorgeous gift stalls brimming with possible Christmas gifts, homemade cakes, coffee, warmth and conversation. A successful fundraiser for the GRCT and a wonderful community event here. Royal Parks Half marathon

The Royal Parks Half marathon took place on Sunday 9 October. 16,000 runners, gloriously sunny Autumn weather, lovely London parks. Four runners ran the marathon in order to raise money for the GRCT – Kofo Oyeleye, Colleen Theron, Jonathan Bates and Catherine Michell. Almost £4,000 was raised. Well done runners and thank you so much!

10th Anniversary Tea and handing over the baton

Thankfully the rain stayed away for the GRCT’s 10th Anniversary Tea held on Saturday! The tea was an opportunity to express our gratitude to our supporters, whose generosity makes such a difference to the health and education of thousands of South African children.
